At the beginning of this project, each student was randomly given a no longer used word to adopt through a website called Save the Words. We then had to design a poster to promote the word and display it in use.
This poster was selected by Ellen Lupton to be a part of York College’s 2012 Annual Juried Student Exhibition. Here, it also won Schmidt Library’s Annual Purchase Prize in which it will be displayed in the library’s permanent collection. This is the first time the library has purchased work from a graphic designer.
